Clemmons Architecture is the associate architect working with Lord Aeck Sargent Architecture of Atlanta for the design of this mixed-use project located in downtown St. Petersburg. The 32-story structure contains a total of 420,000 gross square feet with 172 luxury residences, 16,000 square feet of street level commercial space, and 28,000 square feet of corporate offices on the top 3 floors. In addition, there is a 450 car parking garage. The roof of the parking garage is an amenity level for the residences with a garden, swimming pool and cabanas.
The project is designed to fit into the context of the downtown site with street level retail and studio space around the block. To mask the 5-level parking garage, it is lined with residential units, and this portion of the building is in scale with surrounding development. The slender tower is located at the northeast corner of the site but is pulled back to create a small public space that is animated by a café and the separate residential and office lobbies.
The glass tower is gently curved and pulled apart on the long axis. This design not only creates a dynamic form within the city skyline but also provides stunning views for all the residences across the city and towards Tampa Bay.
