ClemmonsArchitecture is acting as associate architect with Perkins + Will as lead architects on Signature Place. This project consists of the redevelopment of a full city block in downtown St. Petersburg located adjacent to the city’s public waterfront. A true mixed-use development, the project offers residential, office and retail uses with a variety of public and resident-use open spaces. The main feature of the project will be the 35-story residential tower. It has a dramatic triangular shape that has been faceted to provide outstanding water views for all units. A five-story parking garage is located at the north end of the block. The garage has been masked with retail, office, and residential liner buildings at the east and west ends. The roof of the garage is a one-acre oasis for use by the residents. The centerpiece of the rooftop garden is a vanishing edge swimming pool that is designed to appear as the source for a five-story waterfall that flows over the south wall of the garage into a pool within the public courtyard below. Overall the project has 220 residential units, 41,000 square feet of offices, and 17,000 square feet of retail.
